TCL Roku TV (32-inch)

Smart TVs are becoming a norm of modern home media entertainment. Traditional TVs doesn’t give you the convenience of watching thousands of shows on demand and is also very outdated. And it has also become a requirement to have a smart TV to stay up to date with the latest trends.

But choosing the right TV becomes an issue as there are countless brands selling all sorts of products, both good and bad. To help our readers, we have reviewed and selected one of the best smart TVs at the lowest possible price range.

TCL Roku TV (32-inch) with over 28,000 positive ratings and an exceptionally cheap price range, this smart TV is considered to be amongst the best you can find on the market right now. In fact, TCL is one of the fastest-growing TV brands in the USA and is one of the largest TV manufacturers in the world. For people interested in setting up a home theater, we recommend BenQ HT2050A 1080P Home Theater Projector.

Design & Construction

With a 32-inch screen, this Roku TV is fairly compact. It is made out of mostly plastic construction and has narrow glossy bezels that come wrapped with a softer plastic when you initially receive the product. If you don’t mind how the TV looks, we would recommend leaving it on. It can get scuffed easily.

Regarding the dimensions, it has a 31.5” screen size in diagonal measurement and comes with a LED screen. With a maximum resolution of 1366 by 768, the refresh rate is 60Hz. When measuring without the stand, the TV alone has a width of 28.8 inches, a height of 17.1 inches, and a depth of 3.1 inches.

The weight of the TV is very light. There is no need for any extra person to help with the setup. One person alone can unbox and get the whole thing set up. You don’t even need any instructions for it as the box doesn’t come with that many accessories that you need to think about. Everything is already setup; you just need to fit the TV stands under it. The TV by itself is flat enough to be kept standing. But we won’t recommend doing so. The stand will give more structure and stability to it and won’t tip off easily due to shakes. With the TV being around 9 pounds, you could lift it with just one hand. This makes it easily carriable and due to its small size, it can be set into even the smallest room you have.

Although the display technology is old, the quality and output are still significantly better than many other products in its category.

Entertainment & Performance

The Roku TV doesn’t let down in its performance factors. With its advanced refresh rate and dual-band WIFI, you are sure to enjoy every bit of entertainment without any lack or issues. The Display resolution might not look very impressive, but considering its price, there is nothing to complain about. Other models at its price range may give even lower standard specifications.  Although it doesn’t offer 4K but is capable of running a full high definition video. The colors are accurate but can alter if viewed from the side. The audio quality is also quite good; nothing spectacular but does a fairly decent job. You can be assured that it doesn’t sound like crap. Watching a full movie will be a breeze.

The integration of a modern operating system allows you to watch thousands of movies in one place. Unlike traditional TVs, you don’t have to stick with watching live shows, rather you get on-demand media support. Like most modern TVs, the Roku 32 inch TV offers the capability to watch cable or satellite subscription channels as well.

Remote & Roku TV

The remote itself looks very minimal with easy to understand buttons. It has a total of 20 buttons, 17 at the top and 3 at the side.  Due to using infrared technology, the remote needs a direct line of sight for it to operate the TV.

All of the functionalities of the TV can be controlled using the remote. It has 4 dedicated buttons at the bottom for Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime TV, and Sling.

Roku TV uses TCl’s dedicated software system for its smart TVs. It acts as a hub where you will find access to hundreds of apps and streaming services. You will find all of the popular streaming services on this one platform. The user interface is exceptionally easy to operate and understand. To us, this is a very good thing, as there are people just getting into these smart home appliances system, and having an easy to navigate system will be very welcoming.

You can use your phone for private listening, or use it to input text for searching or even use voice commands.  The app can be used to share media files and cast videos directly to the TV. Final Verdict

The TCL Roku TV might not be perfect and won’t give you outstanding audio and video quality. But it does more than what you are paying for. With more expensive options, you will need to probably pay extra to get additional accessories with it, which might cost you 30, 50, 60, or even higher price. But the Roku TV already comes with everything you need to get it set up and start watching your favorite shows. Judging the features and benefits you are getting at this budget; we believe it is definitely a good choice for most families.
