Have you ever thought about how a combination of the traditional grill with modern technology will work? It sounds a bit fancy and just a showoff, but actually isn’t. We were amazed by the results and want to share this product with our audience.
In this review, we will be writing about a BBQ grill that is very versatile and can easily outperform most traditional grills in terms of both performance and food taste. We were actually looking for a BBG grill that we can use reliably and have stumbled upon one product that really caught our attention.
The Traeger Pro 575, has over 500+ ratings, out of which 90% are 5-Stars. This product is also listed as Amazon’s Choice and comes with a fully automated control system. Read through this entire review to see if this BBQ grill is worth your money. In case you are interested in ovens, you can read our review on the Cuisinart TOB-1010 Toaster Oven Broiler.
Design & Construction
At a first glance, no one would generally assume it is an Alexa supported grill. Everything looks exactly like a traditional grill that you would find in the countryside. The only two things that will get people thinking is the electric power cord that it requires and the digital display for the control. Other than that, it is completely a classical design.
This product comes in two color variants. Those are black and bronze. Only the top portion of the grill is colored bronze, the rest are mostly identical. We have the black one, but would really love to have the bronze one as we think it really looks more appealing to look at.
This grill will require electricity to operate. So, make sure you have an outlet nearby. In case you are doing a BBQ party far from home, this is something you really need to keep in mind, otherwise, all the effort will be a waste of time.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the electricity is just to keep the thing operational. And the cooking is done by wood pellets, so not much electrical consumption will be needed. Talking about electricity, the display is where you control all functions of the grill. It will give you all the stats and ability to adjust and change anything regarding the cooking, and ignition.
Regarding the build quality, this machine is built to last. It looks and feels very sold. After all, this machine is intended to be used outdoors, so it will be moved from time to time. Therefore, needs to have solid construction.back to menu ↑
The controlling feature is where this product really stands out to be technologically integrated. This machine offers full control and monitoring of the grilling experience. In case you want to go out to do some sightseeing, this product allows you to do that.
The grill’s system connects wirelessly and offers a dedicated app for controlling. Directly using this app, you can change temperatures, set a timer for how long you want the meal to cook, and check the status of the temperature and some other metrics.
One thing that the app doesn’t allow is to turn on the machine wirelessly. We assume this is a safety feature. You obviously wouldn’t want to ignite the machine without your consent. But still, we would love to have access to that feature.back to menu ↑
The app will alert when the fuel is about to run out. This is done by its low-temperature warning notification. We really wished this machine would notify us at least an hour before running out of fuel, but that isn’t the case. For that, the company will make you pay for a separate sensor, which you can add to the system. That will then notify you about low fuel. You will also get a notification about the temperature readings on if it’s too hot or cold.back to menu ↑
We were amazed at the output of this product. It kept the temperature to very close around what we’ve set it to be. This wasn’t the case with some other ones in its range. Those consistently spiked in temperature and resulted in slightly different flavors each time because of it. But the Traeger Pro 575 was very successful in this aspect. You can literally leave it to cook for hours without worrying about the food getting ruined.back to menu ↑
Fuel efficiency is another part of Traeger Pro 575 that we really appreciate. Compared to other grills, this one consumes a lot lower quantities of pellets. This also results in the lower wooden smoke flavor coming into the grilled meal. If you are someone who enjoys very smokey meat and intense wooden flavor, then you might want to consider other products. The company does recommend using their branded pellets as fuel, but probably that’ not necessary. As long as you are using high-quality pellets, you will be just fine.back to menu ↑
