Waterpik Aquarius WP-660 Review

Waterpik Aquarius WP-660 Review

Many consider water flossers to be a luxury product. Something that’s just there in your bathroom to show off. But that’s not true. Water flossers are an essential dental hygiene product, particularly for those with dental issues. Using these on a regular basis can really help you avoid damages to your teeth over the long run.

Brushing normally can’t get rid of plaques and food debris entirely. This is where these products come in. Plus, many dentists even recommend using water flossers. However, these products will cost a lot of money upfront compared to the string floss counterparts. Also, getting used to it can be quite uncomfortable at first. But once you get used to it, you will understand its worth.

Finding the right water flossers can be quite difficult, especially when there are so many companies offering their products. To make things easier, we have done our research and have found a clinically proven product that will be suitable for most people.

We will be reviewing the Waterpik Aquarius WP-660. As of writing this review, this product has over 68,000 ratings with 70% being 5-stars. It is one of the best Professional Oral Irrigator for under $70. Also, if you are interested in heating pads, then consider reading our article on PureRelief XL King Size Heating Pad updated.

Design & Construction

The design may not be very exciting but is quite functional. Comparing to a previous model, there is a significant reduction in weight. It weighs almost half of the older models. It is definitely nice in terms of portability, but we hope that Waterpik didn’t make any compromises with the internals to achieve it.

The whole unit is made of plastic and you will get it in 5 different colors. These are white, orchid, gray, blue, and black. We recommend you get the black version as it looks really premium. Despite being a plastic build, but doesn’t look cheap. It doesn’t have any unpolished edges. Regarding the dimension, this water flosser measures 5.88”x6.63”x9.25-inch. It’s fairly compact and feels solid to the touch.

Pressure settings

The Waterpik Aquarius has 10 levels of pressure settings. It ranges from 10 to 100 psi for custom cleaning. What setting to choose depends on your preference. However, you may want to keep it at 8. Having it all the way to 10 might be too much.

Water capacity, timer, massage mode

The water reservoir can hold up to 22 ounces of water. It can deliver 1400 water pulses per minute. How long the water lasts will depend on your setting. If you use it at levels 8 to 10, then it can last around 1 minute and 30 seconds. But at a lower speed, you can take it for over 2 minutes. This machine has a built-in timer feature. It will prompt you after 30 seconds to switch from the bottom teeth to start cleaning the top teeth. The recommended flossing time is 60 seconds.

The massage mode is really a nice feature to have. Not all brands offer this feature. It is not essential but will make your flossing more comfortable. It will gently stimulate the gums and increase blood flow. This feature alone makes it a buying decision for many people.
